Our drivers are the heart and soul of J.L. Smith Trucking. They are committed to safety and exceeding client expectations.

Our professional, dependable drivers help us maintain a close rapport with our clients. Each operator keeps our dispatchers informed, helping them make recommendations and keep necessary parties updated on delivery information. The link between dispatchers and drivers allows us to plan ahead for road construction, weather conditions and unforeseen traffic.

Our drivers understand the value of making deliveries on time and on budget, ensuring product quality. Each driver has a CDL, and at least two years of experience driving throughout the continental U.S. The credo of our employees is to continuously exceed industry standards, while following the guidelines outlined by the Federal Highway Administration.

Each driver has a deep commitment to operating their equipment safely and efficiently. We are obligated to follow the regulations outlined by the U.S. Department of Transportation, strictly monitoring each driver's working hours.

At the beginning of each day, our drivers inspect all components of their truck, trailer and freight according to instructions and in compliance with regulations. Proper maintenance is maintained in-house by our certified mechanics.
