SmartWay
The EPA developed the SmartWay program in 2004 to save energy, the environment and reduce emissions. Trucking companies (and companies who own their own tractor-trailers) across the country have joined the effort to become more environmentally responsible. Each company is scored on their environmental performance, including utilizing fuel saving strategies and following specific strategies to conserve the environment.
J.L. Smith Trucking has achieved the highest rating of 1.25 and is committed to this cause.
